Sam Hagerman is a 21 year old photographer based in Kingston Ontario Canada. Most days you'll find him walking or riding around on his bike with a camera in hand. For 35mm he usually uses his trusty Nikon FM2 with a 50mm 1.4 loaded with either portra 160, Fuji Superia 400, or Agfa Vista 200. On the rare occasional of shooting medium format he will use his Bronica GS-1 loaded with Lomo 400. No particular genre or style of photography, simply capturing what catches his eye; a pop of colour, the shape of light and shadow, or an interesting building, it could be almost anything. "I like to find beauty and compositions in the simple objects around us whether it the irresistible beauty of nature, a rad old car, a well composed urban landscape or just simple snapshots of my daily life. I draw inspiration from everywhere and usually always have a camera or notebook on me to record it. My advice for anyone would be to simply load your camera & go out and shoot, the beauty will find you. Anything you find your self staring at for more than a second take a photo of it. Let your own passions shine in your photography. Photos that document our interests & what we hold close will ultimately be the ones most dear to us, & that in my opinion is what is important."
